Cake Cream is a fabulous product made by the team at Lollipop Cake Supplies and it's great because it makes the process of making macarons and Swiss Meringue Buttercream EASY and FAST!
During this workshop you will learn how to create soft and delish macarons and Swiss Meringue Buttercream (for filling) the easiest way using just one 400g bag of Cake Cream.

Items you will need are:
400g bag of Cake Cream, 2 x 12 or 15 inch piping bags, 100g Almond Flour (sieved to remove large bits and weighed after sieving). Different brands will give different results. Cake Cream have had success with Coco Earth Almond Flour. With the ground almonds you must only sieve 100g out of a whole 200g bag. (Need an alternative to almonds? Read notes below), water, 250g butter (semi salted is great if available - otherwise whatever type you prefer), flat baking tray, tall/large glass or container to hold piping bags when filling, mixer with whisk (or handheld electric beater), oven
Optional items
1A round piping tip, Cookie liner bake mat (this can be substituted with baking paper), More Max Flavour - Moreish Cakes have an amazing selection of the most delicious flavours which are perfect for flavouring buttercream (the filling for the macs), GEL colour to colour macaron shells (gel only), Oil/gel colour to colour buttercream, Small amount of sprinkles or gold leaf to decorate your macarons
**NOTES and ingredient substitutions**
- the Cookie Liner can be substituted with baking paper, but the mat should give more even results
- the flavouring is optional
Notes:
Nuttelex and vegetable shortening can be used as an alternate to butter
Need an alternative to almond flour?
Sunflower seed flour (blended in a Thermomix from sunflower seeds), hazelnut flour with skins on, or hazelnut flour without skins, will do the job (more info on this inside the course)
